Special interests want Texas to follow Oklahoma in allowing optometrists to perform laser surgery.

But a recent study shows an alarming number of Oklahoma patients need a SECOND laser surgery when an optometrist performs it instead of an ophthalmologist.

In fact, the risk of needing a second laser eye surgery increases by a staggering 189% when an optometrist performs the surgery instead of an ophthalmologist.
